The second annual Lakes Area Chamber Music Festival will conclude with an all string program you’re sure to love. Accompanied by a small string orchestra, festival Founder Scott Lykins will open the program with the Cello Concerto in A written by Carl Philip Emanuel Bach, the second son of the famous Johann Sebastian Bach, whose Brandenburg Concerto 3 will follow. Continuing with a blast of romanticism, Felix Mendelssohn’s String Octet will conclude a great season. From the excitingly lyrical melodies of the first movement to the barn-burning hoedown of the last, this octet is sure to end the season with a bang!
