Birch Hill Inne is one of the few early remaining landmarks in the Crosslake area. Historic home dates back to 1924. The original function of a carriage house for summer guests, carriages and horses. The property originally owned by Cross Lake Land Co. by W.A. and Lillian Eberman.The Eberman?s purchased the parcel of land between Ox Lake and Loon Lake from the Cross Lake Land Company for summer resort purposes. They went on to build Oscawana Resort in 1926.There were eight full log cabins and out buildings, including a carriage house, which housed carriages and horses for summer tourists.Birch Hill Inne has a long tradition of welcoming visitors and encouraging them to feel at home all year long.
The living quarters and storage building have been remodeled into five beautiful, comfortable guest rooms. The rooms are filled with antique furniture, comfortable beds, private baths and beautiful views. The property includes a renovated carriage house that is its own private cottage away from the main lodge. The dining room of the old restaurant has been preserved to as close as possible to the original.
