    The Brainerd Lakes Area Development Corporation (BLADC) offers the first of many opportunities for entrepreneurs wanting to start or expand their businesses in the Brainerd Lakes Area. Funded and supported by local business and government leaders who know that a healthy and growing regional economy benefits everyone, BLADC's job is to assist business owners in locating the appropriate services, programs, and financing options available to help make their plans a reality.

    Since 1985, over three hundred businesses have worked with BLADC. Some have sought help finding possible building sites, others have used BLADC's expertise in economic development to understand and apply for specialized economic development financing. Whether their needs were simple or complex, they have all benefited from the knowledge and local expertise available through BLADC.

    BLADC also works in cooperation with other area organizations devoted to helping businesses succeed, including the Small Business Development Center, the Initiative Foundation, the Regiona 5 Development Commission, and many others. So if you're considering starting a business, or if you've dreamed of moving your current business to the beautiful lakes area of northern Minnesota, call BLADC.
