About Us

Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity partners with families in need to build safe, affordable housing. The homes are then sold to the families through our home ownership program with an affordable mortgage.
Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity also operates a ReStore located at 415 8th Ave NE in Brainerd. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a home improvement store that sells new and used furniture, appliances and building supplies at a fraction of the retail price. All proceeds support Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity’s work building homes for hard-working local families.

Through the selling of donated construction and home related items we:

Provide quality building materials to the general public at discounted prices.
Prevent usable items from being put in landfills.
Increase the number of homes built with low-income families through Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity.
